Hello, I am Elizabeth Pegg, Professional Genealogist and Family History Researcher

I have over 30 years experience in research and can offer a wealth of assistance or support in many areas: Whether it is a brief 'look-up' or the research into and building of a whole family tree, checking birth, marriage, and death indices, census returns, criminal records, army career information, newspapers, transcribing old documents or even just 'a fresh pair of eyes' to help you when you have hit a brick wall.

Finding out about your ancestors isn't just about names and dates. It is about discovering where you have come from and about bringing their characters and lives to "life", often discovering a sense of  belonging in the process. Genealogy is now very popular and although there is a wealth of information becoming available electronically, research is not always easy and straight forward.  There are many mistakes that can be made along the way.

I have studied with the Institute of Heraldic and Genealogical Studies (IHGS) and passed the Diploma in Genealogy in July 2019 having previously obtained the Higher Certificate in Genealogy in 2018. A Member of AGRA (Association of Genealogy and Researchers in Archives).

Based in Woking, Surrey I am ideally based for easy access to the Surrey History Centre (SHC), The National Archives (TNA) in Kew, the London Metropolitan Archives (LMA), The Society of Genealogists (SoG) and other London Archives and also with easy reach of Sussex.
